Operator Please
Today was the Education City Fiesta, and USQ Open Day. I presume the main idea was to promote the university and tafe and get some students enrolled, or at least wanting to be enrolled here. So while there would have been high expectations for the day, what really transpired wasn’t as good. They had an outdoor stage set up for live music throughout the day, including the headline band Operator Please; food and drinks stalls, as well as various advertisers promoting their products, a large booth for the university to promote its courses, and a few fair ground attractions (bumper cars, flying chairs, farm animals). It seemed like they had really tried, but the things weren’t set up terribly well, and it just looked bad. Most of the music played was pretty boring.
